After Crewe fought back from two goals down to earn a deserved point against Swansea City, Dario Gradi told the club's official web-site: "It was hard work and they flew at them right from the start. The attitude was excellent, Swansea are a good team and good players so it was always going to be difficult and it was.  They did have more quality about their play than we did - but it was disappointing to concede the goal after a short period. It was a stupid challenge and Steve is still on about it he's livid.

"Steve has spent the week on about the discipline and staying on their feet and then Danny goes and dives in. The second goal was also a ridiculous goal, and you begin to think everything is against you. You do all that work and work hard. Steve has worked with them all week and you're 2 goals down and you're thinking that we don't look like we can score 2 goals.

"To be fair, I wouldn't have put much money on us to do so at half time but I have said that before and we have fought back. In the end it was the set plays that made the difference. It makes a difference when you have someone that is winning the headers, and Julien Baudet did that today. So they worked hard and earned the fouls for the free kicks without playing magnificently well.

"You wouldn't say there was anyone who let us down really, Gary Roberts had a torrid time to begin with but he was trying and he always does, Michael O'Connor was trying too hard at one point, so the spirit was good but the decision making wasn't.

Dario added: "In the end you have to say it was their spirit that got them the point, our goalkeeper didn't have a lot of saves to make, they hadn't scored a goal from a shot."
