F.A GIRLS CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE
TRIALS 2010/11

Crewe Alexandra Girls Centre of Excellence gives talented female footballers the opportunity to receive quality coaching and to play against top class opposition on a regular basis.

Our centre forms a major part of the FA's female player pathway and we fully adhere to the long term player development philosophy (LTPD). Girls are given the opportunity to develop within a structured environment under the guidance of high quality FA qualified coaches who use the latest coaching methods.

FA scouts regularly monitor the girls' progress with a view to exceptional players going on to represent National squads. During the season 2009/10, two Crewe Alexandra players represented England at U15 and U17 level.

During the season of 2010/2011, the centre will consist of 4 squads, Under 10, Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16. The squads will train twice a week and will take part in a 20 match fixture programme with games taking place on a Saturday. Opposition will include FA Centres within the North West area including Liverpool, Everton, Blackburn and Manchester United amongst others. During season 2009/10, additional fixtures were also arranged against the likes of Arsenal, Stoke City, Leeds United and Birmingham City.

Players are encouraged to attend as many trial dates as possible.
