Crewe Alexandra's opponents in the FA Youth Cup Second Round are now known, with Morecambe set to visit Gresty Road.
Steve Holland's youngsters were rewarded for their 5-3 win over Oldham Athletic in the last round with a home draw in Round 2, but the opposition wasn't known until Sunday, when Morecambe overcame UniBond League Premier Division outdit North Ferriby United in extra-time.
In a game watched by members of the Alex scouting staff, the game was tied at 0-0 at the end of 90 minutes sending the fixture into extra-time.
Gary Ball's 107th minute goal put Morecambe in front, and the tie was safe when the Shrimpers made it 2-0 as Ball scored his second from the penalty spot after a foul on Jamie McKenna.
The date for Morecambe's visit to Gresty Road has not yet been confirmed, although it will take place some time this month, with ties having to be played by the end of November.
Dates and ticket details will be posted on the Official Website as soon as we have them.
