Academy forward Amari Morgan-Smith has been placed on stand-by for the England Under-18's.
The 17-year-old Wolverhampton born front man has been included on the standby list for Brian Eastick's squad which will take on France at Hartlepool United's Victoria Park Stadium next week.
Morgan-Smith will only join up with the squad should one of the original part members pick up an injury, but his inclusion is a sign of the progress the Second Year Scholar has made over the past couple of seasons.
"It's great for him and an honour for the club," Academy Manager Steve Holland told Crewe Alex World

"We have a strong tradition of our youngsters playing for the country's with the like sof Billy Jones, Gary Roberts, Michael O'Connor, Chris Flynn and Owain fon Williams all being selected in the past.
"So this is good for Amari, but he must remember that a lot of youngsters who have played Internationally at youth level never went on to have careers, so he needs to keep his head down and continue working hard.
"But it would be good if he could get some time on the pitch for England."
