With a successful pre-season behind them, our under 18's side kick off their new season this weekend with a trip to Leicester City.
Neil Critchley and James Collins have guided the boys through six games, picking up four victories along the way and not losing a single game.
Now is when the real stuff starts though, and although the club does not necessarily rate it's academy success on their achievements all the time more for the players they produce, everyone is still looking forward to seeing what this year's group of lads can achieve.
Neil Critchley told Crewe Alex Player: "We can't wait, I'm really interested to see how the boys do this season, we have a great bunch of players.
"I think Saturday will give us a real indication and tell us a bit more of what level we will be at this season. We can't wait, we're all looking forward to it."
He continues: "We will be missing Chris Peach, he's in rehabilitation at the moment overcoming a cruciate ligament injury he got last season, and obviously Nick is with the first team, but everyone else is fit and ready to go."
