Critch Expects Eventful Night In Yorkshire

Posted on: Wed 25 Nov 2009

It's the second round of the FA Youth Cup this evening as Crewe Alexandra travel back up to Yorkshire at the second time of asking.

Last week's fixture at the Coral Window's Stadium was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, but everyone will be hoping that this evening's game will be ok to go ahead. The prize for victory tonight - a fixture against Arsenal, something Neil Critchley says will add something extra on to the game this evening.

He says: "This time around we have the added incentive of the Arsenal game in the next round, that applies to both sides, and that will add more to the game. I'd be lying if I said we weren't thinking about Arsenal, even the boys will be thinking about it at the back of their minds, but first and foremost we have to get past Bradford."

With that thought in the mind of both teams, there is likely to be an eventful night in Yorkshire tonight. As Critch says, Bradford will certainly be up for the game and will not make it easy with their own eyes on a place in the third round.

Critchley told Crewe Alex Player: "I know that Bradford are a decent side, we all do, we have had them watched and they have more than enough in their team to cause us some problems. It won't be an easy game, but then none of them ever are in the Youth Cup.

"I'd like to think that if we perform on the night then we will have enough in our side to beat them.

"They will make it tough for us, and I expect an eventful night."

Tickets are pay on the turnstiles and are priced at £4.00 adults and £2.00 concessions.
