Crewe Alexandra's under 18's side have cruised to a convincing 3-1 victory over their Carlisle counterparts to book themselves a place in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup.

Two goals from Alex Titchiner and one from Matt Lund saw the youngsters take victory.

Goal number one came on just 19 minutes when Matt Lund headed in a Matt Tootle cross. Heading into the break at 1-0 up, Crewe netted goals two and three on 76 minutes as Titchiner slots into an empty goal and 89 minutes when Titchiner again put a great shot across goal and into the corner of the keeper's net.

Carlisle pulled one back in the final minute of the game, but the game was all but over.

The draw for the next round is expected to take place later this week with games to be played by Saturday 17th January.
