Heading down to Chelsea to play on their all new training pitches was never going to be an easy task, so to be 2-0 up as the visitors was a tremendous accomplishment for our new look under 18's side.

James Collins took the boys down for the first game of their new season, as they got off to a fantastic start. The first goal coming from Danny Shelley, the second from first year scholar Matthew Freeman. A third goal was disallowed as the flag went up for offside.

With just 15 minutes to go though, Chelsea drew back and then got an equaliser with just five minutes on the clock.

Still a strong game and a good result to kick off the new campaign for our academy boys.
