It is a big game this weekend for our academy boys as they travel for their second local derby of the season at Stoke City.
James Collins will travel with the under 18's this Saturday down the A50 in the hope of completing the season double over our local rivals. Earlier in the season, a single goal from Chris Clements was the decider between the two clubs.
Everyone associated with the club is looking forward to the game and James Collin's admits that himself and the lads are up for it and if they can match them in all aspects of the game, as he knows the boys are capable of, they can bring home the victory.
He told Crewe Alex World: "We do look to win every game, this will be a tough physical game for us on Saturday, hopefully we have better technical players then Stoke, we hope that is the case, and if it is then we should have enough to win the game."
During the week's training they have been focusing knowing they will have to produce a different kind of game in Staffordshire, but with the good record behind them so far this season and the hype surrounding the game, it is hopeful that this 90 minutes will end in another good win for the youngsters.
James continues: "It's always a different challenge at Stoke, a different type of football and with it being a derby it is always lively, as much as we try and calm the boys down they are always lively in these games. We don't have to wind them up for this type of game.
"Hopefully we can match them physically and in effort and then maybe we can produce that extra little bit of quality and win the game."
