The under 18's had a successful weekend with the visit of top Danish side Lyngby. With a string of young International players in the side, Steve Holland knew the game would be a test for his side.
They weren't to be fazed though, and despite missing some key players who are currently out on loan, Holland's boys breezed through the game finishing a 6-0 score line.
Three early goals gave the home side the lead within the first 15 minutes, A Jay Leitch-Smith hitting a left footed volley, Dexter Ravenhill getting on the end of a cross to neatly tap in the second and Luke Murphy striking a stunning free kick to make it 2 goals in 2 games for him.
Junior Brown made it four for the Alex followed by a well-taken penalty by Chris Clements who slotted the ball nicely past the Danish keeper. Anthony Marshall rounded off the scoring hitting the 6th goal of the game to finish off a fantastic morning for the youngsters and a good performance against the Danish Premier League side.
