The Academy Recruitment, overseen by Phil Swift the Recruitment Officer heads a team of well trained and committed "Youth Observers" who recruit players into the Academy aged 6-16years.

Many players enter into the pre-academy groups at the age of six and are offered the highest standard of facilities and professional staff under the tried and trusted directorship of Dario Gradi potentially up the age of 16 years prior to a possible scholarship offer.

Players are recruited from in and around the northwest by our youth observers who work in conjunction with local junior leagues, clubs and schools and associated bodies.

Being such an important aspect of the academy all Crewe Alexandra F.C youth observers are fully trained in procedures, child protection issues and protocol and take great pride in having a respected and trusted reputation in all area's of operation
