The Education Programme is an important aspect of the Football Scholarship entered into by the boys between 16 and 18.
The scholarship begins when the boys leave school and now runs for a period of two years. The boys are selected from the U16 programme and have usually been with the Football Club for quite a period.
They work under the guidance of Steve Holland (Academy Manager), Neil Critchley (Assistant Academy Manager) and James Collins (Assistant Academy Manager). The boys train during the week and play on a Saturday morning.
Academy Aims
"The aims and objectives of the Academy are to produce talented, well disciplined young footballers for Crewe Alexandra Football Club and ultimately the F.A Premier League.
"To achieve this objective we have a recruitment and development strategy within the local region that provides the opportunity for talented youngsters to play with and against boys of a similar ability level in the best possible environment.
"The players are coached by qualified and motivated coaches in a whom are aware of the culture and philosophy of the club."
