Zooms Would Like Future Resolved Before Holiday

4 May 2016

Zoumana Bakayogo gives positive indication that he would like to remain at the club. -

Zoumana Bakayogo has told Crewe Alex PlayerHD that he remains hopeful of remaining at the Football Club. Talks between manager Steve Davis, Zoumana and his representatives have been positive and the popular defender has announced that he would like his future resolved before he embarks on a summer holiday.

Bakayogo, 29, has become a firm favourite with the Alex faithful and has scored once in 21 matches this season.

Ahead of this weekend’s final game of the season, Bakayogo told us: “Hopefully I’ll be here next year but I don’t know yet, we’ll see. The talks are on-going.

“I would like to get it sorted as quick as I can, before I go on holiday.

“There is a deadline but I’m not sure when that is so I don’t know.

Zooms added: “We have to push on next season, we have no choice. No one here wants to stay in League Two, the main thing for us is to get back to League One by getting promoted next year.”
