Steve backs his players to come good and start taking chances

Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site that he was pleased with his side’s application and endeavour in the second half at MK Dons and says that we only missed that killer instinct to have acquired a point or points that our performance deserved.

Crewe Alexandra certainly created enough chances to have picked up at least a point with forwards AJ Leitch-Smith, Max Clayton and sub Mathias Pogba all missing good opportunities in the second period at Stadium:MK.

Davis told crewealex.net: “I’m pleased with the players' attitude, effort and determination. We just need that killer instinct and once we get that right we'll climb the league, we are in a decent position and have had a solid start without being spectacular but there is more to come from these players. They will improve.

in the table. We have performed well enough but need to score more goals. th“If we had been more clinical then I would say we would probably have had four or five extra points and that would have taken us to around 9

“The games have been very close and Brentford aside there has not been a lot of goals. It has been that odd goal and we are doing okay. We look fine and just need to turn some of those draws into wins and opportunities into goals.”
