Crewe Alexandra Under 21's lost for the first time in three as Birmingham City ran out slender 1-0 winners in The Midlands.Wes McDonald's 49th minute strike was enough to seal victory for the hosts, despite a late rally by The Alex, with Saunders and Cooper going close to finding a leveller.
The result will come as a disappointment to coach Alex Morris after an improvement in performances and results secured victory over Leeds and a draw with Sheffield United in the previous two games.
The final game of 2015 is at Reaseheath against Hull City on Monday 21 December, 1pm Kick-off.
