Youthful U21’s Held At Barnsley
A young Under 21 side made up mainly of Under 18 players battled out a 1-1 draw with Barnsley in their penultimate match of 2015/16.
The hosts took the lead midway through the first half courtesy of Duane Holmes, but Crewe fought back and equalised on 51 minutes with a deflected strike from Trialist B that trickled into the bottom corner.
Crewe continued to pump up the pressure and could've won the game, but the Tykes held on for a point.
Morris’ side end their campaign on Wednesday with a home tie against Bristol City here at Gresty Road. It’s free entry to all and kick-off is at 1pm.
