U18: Bristol City 2-3 Crewe
Kenny Lunt’s Under 18’s made it six wins out of eight for the season in an end-to-end encounter at Bristol City.
In a dramatic morning down in the South West, Crewe had to come from behind, hold off a late fight-back and play much of the game ten v ten after each side suffered an early red card.
The Alex were already one down at that point after Bristol notched from a corner, but a fracas between Charlie Kirk and a Bristol player resulted in a straight red for both players.
Recovering from that, Crewe levelled just before the break as Tom Lowery notched his first of the season and Oli Finney grabbed a second on the hour mark to put the Alex in control.
Under 16 player Lynch came off the subs bench to make it 3-1 to Crewe but a Bristol goal ten minutes from time had Lunt and Bell sweating - but the lads held on for the points.
Crewe: Hylton, Morgan, Dowsett, Neal, Pickering, Lundstram (Lynch, 55), Finney, Kirk, Lowery, Whalley (Dale, 45), Higham (Griffiths, 75)
