Shearer Departs By Mutual Consent

24 June 2015

Club can confirm that goalkeeper Scott Shearer has left by mutual consent

Following Scott's departure, Crewe will now be looking to add another goalkeeper to their ranks to challenge Ben Garratt and a new coaching coach.

Everyone at the club would like to wish Scott all the best for his future.

After making three appearances for the Railwaymen, the former Coventry City goalkeeper joined Burton Albion on loan for the second half of the season, but his game time was again limited as the Brewers won the League Two title. He made just one substitute appearance on the final day of the season against Cambridge United after Joe McLaughan was sent-off with 23 minutes left.

Crewe Alexandra Football Club can confirm that goalkeeper Scott Shearer has left the club by mutual consent. The 34-year-old stopper joined Crewe last summer but found his first team opportunities limited by the form of first choice Ben Garratt.
