Saunders Could Link-Up With Squad

Boss says Callum may join Barnsley travelling party late-on

Crewe Alexandra Manager Steve Davis says young striker Callum Saunders may link-up with the squad headed for Barnsley on Saturday morning when he arrives back from Denmark.

The Wales Under 21 striker is due to land into Manchester Airport on Saturday morning after the match in Aalborg on Friday night.

With Saunders set to be a sub for Wales, Davis has welcomed his inclusion in the Alex's travelling party as he's without ELEVEN players due to injury and international call-ups.

Steve told www.crewealex.net: "We've got seven injuries to professionals and four away through internationals.

"Out of that, we may be able to get Saunders back because he's on the bench for Wales, so he may be available to us Saturday morning. He'll fly in to Manchester then come and join us for the game.

"It might mean we might not have the seven on the bench but we can fill it with some one way or another."
