Colclough to travel to Sheffied after impressive comeback from injury

Ryan Colclough is set to travel to Sheffield United tomorrow after impressing for the club’s Under-21 sides against Charlton Athletic and then QPR on Monday evening. Colclough has not featured for the first team since November 2013 due to a persistent hip and hernia problem.

Colclough, 20, is likely to start on the bench at Bramall Lane after previously missing 15 months through injury.

Steve Davis told the club’s official web-site: “Ryan will travel and be involved. He probably isn’t quite fit enough to start the game and last the 90 minutes, so it is likely he will be on the bench.

“The aim will be to give him some game time. He has been for good for the under-21s and has probably been the stand-out player there in the last two games, so he has been knocking on the door for a bit now.

He added: “He has been pushing himself forward and he could make a difference for us in the remaining games.”
