Match winner says club still have an outside chance of reaching the play-offs

Mathias Pogba signed off with a match winning brace over the MK Dons before joining his national side Guinea today and the 22-year-old says his aim of scoring 20 goals in his debut season in the Football League is very much on.

After his match winning brace, Pogba told the club’s official web-site: “I am looking to score goals in every game I play. My objective is to try and score 20 goals, so to score two goals and for the team to win makes me happy.

“It is the first time I’ve been able to score two goals in a game since August, so I am pleased with that as well. The manager has been telling me to get to the back post and the ball will come over. I was there.

“The second goal was with my left foot after the keeper saved my first shot. It was nice to score and for the team to win.

Pogba added: “We still have a chance for the play-offs yes. I am a very optimistic person and we play a lot of team above us, so if we can keep winning and picking up points then we have a chance.”
