Pogba: "We Can Still Do It"

26 February 2013

Postitive Pogs still dreaming of double Wembley appearance

Mathias Pobga, the club’s leading goalscorer with 12 goals remains positive that Crewe Alexandra can still make the top six this season. Pogba already has a Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final to look forward against Southend on 7th April, but he has certainly not given up hope of going there again to contest a Play-Off Final!

Pogba, who has enjoyed a fantastic first season for the Alex by leading the goalscoring charts and earning himself a first International call-up for Guinea earlier in the month, still believes Crewe can mount a challenge on two fronts.

Following the club’s fine 2-1 at Coventry at the weekend, the former Wrexham man told us: “Taking away points at a place like Coventry is very good for the confidence, so hopefully we can do it again at Hartlepool.

“We have to keep giving 100%. I am always a positive player so I still think we can do it. We have to keep going and see where it takes us.

“In our team many players can play different positions and that helps a lot. I don't mind to play on the wing or up front but my favourite position is up front. But it's no problem to me.

Pogs added: “I just need to play well. I always keep going and put myself forward, I will not stop. There is more to come from. Hopefully more goals from me. Why not?”
