Pleased To Have Bingham Back

3 November 2015

Boss says there is more to come from summer signing Billy following his return from injury.

Steve Davis is pleased to have midfielder Billy Bingham back and available for selection after overcoming his hamstring injury. The summer signing from Dagenham has now featured since the end of August after aggravating the muscle initially away at Wigan Athletic on 29th August. He then suffered a re-occurrence of the injury as he was set to return to full training in September and the club have remained cautious with him since.

Bingham has worked hard to get back and marked his return to fitness with 45 minutes against Bolton Wanderers in the Development League yesterday. It was always planned for Bingham to play the first half and be replaced by young Ollie Finney.

Steve told the club’s web-site: “It is great to have Billy back with us. His football is excellent and he has a good football brain. He brings that quality and we have missed him.

“He can bring that passing ability to our midfield and I think that there is more to come from him. He knows that the competition is fierce in our midfield at the moment and that can push him to another level.

He added: “I am sure he has a big part to play for us this season and I am just pleased to have him fit and available again.”
