Oliver Ready To Play His Part

Vadaine Oliver says he has settled in quickly following move from Lincoln

Summer acquisition Vadaine Oliver says he has fully settled into life at Crewe Alexandra and admits that the young, vibrant squad has allowed him to do that. Oliver marked his Crewe ‘debut’ with a headed goal in the 3-2 win over Celtic in our recent behind closed door friendly with the SPL champions and the former Lincoln City striker is determined to muck in and score goals for the team this coming season.

Vadaine told the club’s official web-site: “Settling in has been relatively easy for me. It is a relaxed atmosphere amongst the squad and it is a good working environment with excellent facilities at the training ground.

“The age group of the squad is very similar, so that makes fitting in straight forward. The lads are sound and have helped me settle in. I have really enjoyed it so far and just cannot wait for the games to really start.

“The pre-season is important in terms of fitness and I want to be as ready as I can be for the first game. I know I’ve come here to improve as a player and I know I will have to adapt to a different level of football having come from Lincoln and the Conference.

“I am determined to show that can handle the step up and can’t wait to get going. It will be a great test for us all in League One but one we are all looking forward to. I am ready, prepared to muck in for the team and hopefully I can score goals to help the team.”
