Oliver Joins Mansfield On Loan

24 October 2014

Striker permitted to go out on loan following Haynes arrival

Crewe Alexandra forward Vadaine Oliver has joined League Two side Mansfield Town on a one-month emergency loan. The former Lincoln City man will go straight into the Stags squad to face York City tomorrow.

Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis has permitted Oliver to go out on a short-term basis following the recent loan signing of Danny Haynes from Notts County.

Oliver, 23, has made 12 appearances for Crewe this season, but has not featured since the 3-0 home defeat by Notts County at the end of September. His only goal so far this campaign came against Port Vale in the local derby back in September when he powerfully headed home Matt Tootle’s cross to inspire a 2-1 win.

Everyone at Crewe wishes Vadaine well and he joins fellow team-mates Lee Molyneux (Accrington) and Thierry Audel (Lincoln) out on loan.
