Crewe Alexandra is delighted that young midfield player Liam Nolan has signed a new two-year deal with the club with an option for a third year. The Northern Ireland International has followed his fellow young team-mates, Oliver Turton, George Ray, Billy Waters and Jon Guthrie by committing his future to the club.
Liverpool-born Nolan, 19, has broken into the first-team picture this season, making his professional debut as a late substitute against Oldham Athletic on 21st September 2013. Nolan made his first start at home to Stevenage in October and he has gone on to start another six games this season. He has also made five substitute appearances as Crewe aim to remain in Sky Bet League One.
Progressing through the club’s Academy system, Nolan has begun to establish himself in the Crewe Alexandra midfield in recent weeks, replacing the on-loan Manchester City youngster George Evans.
