Ness Remains Doubtful

Jamie Ness is still rated as a dobut with calf injury

On-loan Stoke City midfielder Jamie Ness is still rated as a doubt for this weekend’s final game of the season against Bradford City. The former Glasgow Rangers youngster has missed the last three games after being forced off at half-time with a calf injury against Leyton Orient.

Ness has been receiving treatment at his parent club and he certainly worked hard to try and declare himself fit for last weekend’s game against Coventry City.

It is hoped that the Scot will be able to resume jogging this week and preferably train with us on Thursday ahead of the final game against the Bantams.

Steve Davis provided the latest update to the club’s official web-site: “We are hoping that Jamie will be able to step up his running with Stoke this week. He was jogging last week and felt it a bit so we didn’t want to take that risk with him at Coventry. He wasn’t fit.

“He has had the weekend and then has three or four more days to prove he will be fit to be a part of it.

“He would have to train with us again towards the end of the week to be under consideration but having an extra day may help him.”
