Lowe Will Add Invaluable Experience

26 November 2015

Davis says his young players will only benefit from arrival of Ryan Lowe

Steve Davis says that bringing Ryan Lowe in on loan from Bury will only benefit his younger players both on and off the pitch. Lowe marked his Crewe return with a stunning last gasp winner against Colchester United on Tuesday evening and the Crewe boss is delighted to have our former forward back at the Football Club.

The 37-year-old has signed on loan until the New Year and Davis is sure that his experience will have a really positive impact in the Crewe dressing room.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “Ryan is just short of match fitness. He hasn’t been involved that much at Bury this season but he recently played 75 minutes of a reserve game there and played nearly almost the entire second half for us on Tuesday night. We will just have to see how he is before I decide what role he will play for us on Saturday.

“If we can get him match fit and firing like he was on Tuesday night then he is going to be a great asset for us. He will be a great asset for us off the pitch as well. He has invaluable experience of the game and the younger ones, especially the younger ones like Callum (Saunders) and George (Cooper) will learn from someone like Lowey. He is a real goalscorer and played in the Championship.

“I’m sure Ryan will give them advice if they ask for it and he will be a big help when he is here. He is a good lad to have around the plan and it’s great to have him.”
