Manchester City full-back captured till end of the season

Crewe Alexandra have extended the loan deal of Manchester City full-back Greg Leigh until the end of the 2014/15 season.

The 20-year-old signed a six month loan deal with the Alex in August, making his debut in the second game of the season in the 2-0 League Cup First Round win at Barnsley.

He has made the left-wing back position his own, thriving in the adopted 5-3-2 system and making a total of 23 appearances during the first half of the season.

The extension has effectively turned the deal into a season-long-loan and Leigh will be hoping to add to that appearance total to help keep Crewe Alexandra out of relegation trouble.
