Stephen Kingsley looks forward to making his Alex debut at Wigan.

  The club’s recent on-loan signing Stephen Kingsley says that if he is selected that today’s trip to Wigan Athletic will be perfect place to mark his Crewe Alexandra debut. Kingsley is hoping to get the nod at left-back at the DW Stadium after signing on loan for 93-days from Premier League side Swansea City.

Ahead of our League One clash this afternoon, the 21-year-old told us: “If I’m involved at Wigan then it would be a good place to make my Crewe debut. They are a big club and it wasn’t that long ago that they were in the Premier League and winning the FA Cup.

“It should be a great game in a good atmosphere and one you would look forward to. They have come down from the Championship and are expected to do well in this division so we know it will be tough but the spirit is good here and we will play with no fear.

“It will be a challenge but one we are all looking forward to and it would be great to get our first win of the season there.”
