King Back In The Frame

9 October 2015

Adam King back in consideration after being rested in mid-week.

On loan Swansea City midfielder Adam King will come back into the managers’ thoughts for this weekend’s trip to Barnsley after being rested for our mid-week cup tie against Wigan Athletic.

King was left on the substitutes’ bench during our 3-2 defeat to the Latics in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, as Chris Atkinson was handed a start in the Alex midfield.

King, 19, had started every game for us this season and has the young Scot has certainly caught the eye by scoring four goals already.

Steve Davis told crewealex.net: “I felt that Adam needed a rest. He has played every game this season and done well for us.

“When he came here I don’t think even he would have expected to have played every game, so it was the perfect opportunity to take him out and give Chris some game time.

He added: “Adam has been important to us with his goals this season and if both are needed then we know they will be ready to do the job.”
