Midfielder expected to be involved against Wolves after head injury
Anthony Grant has been given the all-clear after being temporary being knocked unconscious in last night’s 1-0 defeat at Macclesfield. The combative midfield player took a heavy knock to the head from a stray boot and Crewe’s medical staff took no chances with him and he was immediately replaced by Liam Nolan. Grant regained his bearings soon after and was deemed fine after being checked over by head physio Rob Sharp. The former Chelsea trainee is fully expected to be involved against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
They are expected to declare themselves fit and available for the visit of the League One champions this weekend. Crewe were without Jon Guthrie, Billy Waters, Lee Molyneux and James Jones for the short trip to the Moss Rose after they collected minor knocks over the pre-season.
