Positive News On Garratt Injury

27 March 2015

Ben Garratt hopes to play again this season after he received really positive news relating to his fractured leg. Garratt, who recently signed a new two-year deal with the club underwent a follow up scan earlier in the week and the results have been encouraging. The bone has healed and Garratt will be allowed to push on and build muscle in his leg before embarking on some light kicking over the next fortnight.

Ben told Crewe Alex Player: “It has been frustrating for me because this is the first real injury I’ve had in my career. I just want to be out there helping the other lads and making sure we win enough games to be safe. We are all fighting hard to remain in League One.

“I have seen the consultant and the X-ray showed that the bone is healing well. It was all very positive and I hope to come back before the end of the season. That is the aim.

“I can just take it a week at a time and push to see if I can play some games before the end of the season.”
