Steve Davis pleased with Garratt's match saving saves in 1-0 win over Robins
Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis says that Ben Garratt only has to add spectacular saves to his all round game to go on and become a top goalkeeper.
Garratt was in superb form again on Saturday to keep top of the table Bristol City at bay. He made two world class saves to deny Aden Flint and Aaron Wilbraham to keep a clean-sheet and provide the platform for Jamie Ness to fire us to three points.
Steve Davis told the club’s official web-site: “Ben was excellent again and kept another clean-sheet which will do wonders for his own confidence. He just has to make more spectacular saves to his game. If he can add that to what he is already doing then he is going to be a very good goalkeeper.
“He is getting better in every game. He is only 20 and improving with the experience of playing week in week out.”
