The sport of Futsal is growing all the time in this country and is a fast paced 5-a-side game that is played all over the world and is recognised by FIFA and UEFA. Futsal is being hailed as the perfect way to improve your football technique.

A level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma in Sport is equivalent to 3 A-levels.

You can also potentially participate in coaching and referee qualifications and gain work experience in the sporting and leisure industry.

During the full-time two-year course you can also learn qualifications that could help you gain future employment or a route into University courses or foundation degrees.

The course is based at the club’s community’s study centre with many of the futsal matches against other Football League clubs taking place at Birmingham’s impressive national Futsal Centre.

You will study up to a level 3 BTEC, as well as becoming a valued member of the Crewe Alexandra futsal team. If you have achieved 4 GCSE grades at C or above then this could just the ideal course for you, combining further education and a passion for football.

You can now gain a first class education with the Education and Futsal Scholarship available at Crewe Alexandra’s Soccer Centre based in Shavington. The Crewe Alexandra scholarship offers an opportunity for 16 and 18 year-olds to pursue a BTEC qualification whilst also playing futsal for the club..
