Vice captain back in contention for Doncaster trip
Crewe Alexandra’s vice-captain David Fox came through 45 minutes for the club’s Development Squad against Leeds United yesterday and boss Steve Davis says that the vastly experienced midfielder will be back in contention for our next League One encounter against Doncaster Rovers on 12th December.
Fox has not featured in the club’s last six games after suffering a minor fracture in his lower back after being on the receiving end of a poor tackle at Blackpool. Fox had taken the captaincy from the injured Harry Davis and was performing well before his injury set-back.
Steve Davis told crewealex.net: “Foxy came through 45 minutes at Leeds and he was fine. There was no problem and with this little break, he will continue training and should be available for selection against Doncaster.
“The same applies to Brad Inman. He has had a succession of knocks and needed an enforced rest. He is fine and will be back for Doncaster as well, so we are getting one or two back with us now.”
