Adam Dugdale is expected to be recalled for trip to Bradford following Ray injury
Adam Dugdale is expected to deputise for the injured George Ray at Bradford City this weekend. Ray is out for ‘three to four weeks’ after aggravating his groin in the first half against Notts County. He was replaced by Dugdale just after the half an hour mark.
Steve Davis could also turn to French born Thierry Audel but after shaking off a recent bout of illness, the more experienced Dugdale is expected to get the nod to partner new loan signing Alan Tate.
Harry Davis returned to action for the first time since March in last night’s 2-2 draw with Ipswich at Under-21 level. Davis completed 50 minutes before being forced off with a bloody nose. It was his first outing since suffering a knee injury during a training session.
After spending the past six months on the sidelines, Davis will still need a period of training and more game time before he will be considered for a recall.
Crewe are also hopeful of having on-loan winger Febian Brandy available for selection. The Rotherham wide man has been struggling with a sore calf since arriving on a one-month loan.
