Dugdale Completes Tranmere Switch

28 January 2015

Adam Dugdale has joined Tranmere on an initial six-month contract

The former Crewe Alexandra defender Adam Dugdale has joined League Two side Tranmere Rovers on an initial six-month-deal after the remainder of his contract at Crewe Alexandra was terminated by mutual consent in the January transfer window.

Tranmere have an option for a further year after the initial six-month period.

Dugdale links up with former Port Vale boss Micky Adams at Prenton Park and his former Crewe team-mate Lee Molyneux after enjoying a brief loan spell at Prenton Park last season.

The 27-year-old graduated through the Alex's youth academy, but left the club in 2007 to ply his trade in non-league at Droylsden and Barrow before retuning to the Alex in summer 2010.

During the last four-and-a-half years, Duggy has twice helped Crewe reach Wembley for the 2012 League Two play-off final and the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final a year later, although he didn’t play on the day due to personal reasons.

During his time at Crewe Alexandra, he has amassed over 140 appearances and contributed six goals.

Everyone at the Club would like to wish Duggy well for the future.
