The Crewe Alexandra boss says he does not envisage any activity occurring on deadline day and hasn’t heard anything in regards to any outgoings either.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “I don’t envisage any activity today after we brought in the two lads on Friday. I don’t expect my phone to be going today.

“I would imagine it will be busy in the Premier League at the top end because they can’t add any more players after today. The Football League is fortune that we can still loan in after a seven day period. We can still strengthen on loan if needs be.

He added: “We will have a look at some of our younger players possibly going out on loan to give them some game time. That is something we will assess going forward, but I don’t envisage anyone going out on a permanently basis. It has been quiet in that respect and I don’t think anything will happen today.”
