Steve Davis says player and supporter safety had to come first
Steve Davis, the Crewe Alexandra manager expressed his disappointment after our home match with MK Dons was postponed due to the adverse weather conditions. The match was called off by a match official due to a frozen pitch. The surrounding areas for supporters’ was also deemed unsafe by club officials and the police.
Steve told crewealex.net: “It is disappointing to have the game called off but the safety of the players and supporters is always paramount.
“You want to play the games because we were going into it on the back of a 4-1 win over Bradford City and confidence was high.
“It means we have to cram another game in. We have a lot of game in February with some Under-21 fixtures to fit in. It will test the squad but we can cope.”
