Hary Davis, LDV and Guthrie to feature for the Under-21s at Coventry.

Club captain Harry Davis will feature for the club’s Development squad today at Coventry City and if he comes through unscathed then he could be back in contention for a recall against Swindon Town this weekend.

Davis has not featured so far this season after picking up a knee injury on the eve of the new campaign in training and in his absence new signing Ben Nugent has formed a partnership with George Ray in the heart of the Alex defence.

Striker Laurie Dalla Valle is also set to play for the Under-21s as he aims to propel himself forward for a recall with Marcus Haber and Harry Wilson away on International duty this weekend.

Jon Guthrie will also play after losing his place to new loan signing Stephen Kingsley for the weekend fixture at Wigan.

Steve Davis told crewealex.net: “Harry needs a game because he has missed the last few weeks. He is fine and wants to get back and help the team.

“He has been training with the group for a couple of weeks now and is ready for a game. It was too early to risk him for the game at Wigan but if he comes through okay at Coventry this afternoon then he will be considered for the weekend.”
