Davis Targets Two New Faces

29 January 2016

Steve Davis after new attacking players to bolster his options in the wake of Colclough sale.

Steve Davis says he will look to bring in ‘one or two new faces’ in on loan to bolster his squad.

The Alex boss believes that he has young players of great potential to one day step up and replace the Wigan bound Ryan Colclough but if they are not quite ready then he will enter the loan market.

Bury’s Ryan Lowe tops the priority list but the boss is also considering other options to boost his attacking options.

Steve told crewealex.net: “I would like to bring one or two new faces in to give us a boost. If we can still do the one we want to do then we would. I have spoken to them and we need a decision on shortly because we may have to look at alternatives if it can’t be done.

“If we can find another one who can do a job for us then that is a possibility as well. We won’t go out and find a replacement for Ryan Colclough but one or two new players would give us a lift.

The boss added: “We will continue to make some enquires. That has been on-going and it would great from our point of view if we can bring a couple in on loan.”
