Davis On New Loan Signing Haynes

24 October 2014

On loan Danny Haynes could make a real impact here says Steve Davis

Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site that he is pleased to have added Danny Haynes on loan for a month from Notts County to enhance his attacking options. The 26-year-old joined on emergency loan on Tuesday evening and went straight into the squad to face Peterborough United. He was an unused substitute as Crewe won 1-0 thanks to Marcus Haber’s penalty on the half an hour mark.

November. rdHaynes has joined fellow loanee Febain Brandy by agreeing to remain at the Alexandra Stadium until 23

Davis says that the experienced Haynes has all the credentials to make an impact here. The boss told the club’s official web-site: “We have felt for a while that we needed to strengthen in the forward positions. We managed to do that with Febian and now with Danny.

“Danny is an experienced forward and has a proven track record. He has scored goals in the Championship and that is a tough league to score goals in.

“He has played for some big clubs over the years and if he can recapture some of that past form then he could have had a real impact here.

“He has pace and is strong and we have seen flashes of that in training already. He is prepared to go past defenders and he could be a real asset for us, but he knows he has to force his way in.

The boss added: “Danny has come here to get game time and we will look to do that over the course of the month. He has not played too many games this season so we will have to work on his match sharpness.”
