Steve to keep an eye on Aneke and Inman situation

Steve Davis has admitted that he would be interested if the futures of Chuks Aneke and Brad Inman were not certain at their respective clubs. Aneke and Inman became firm favourites with the Crewe Alexandra faithful after a string of match winning performances.

Aneke has a year left on his contract at Arsenal while Inman is out of contract at Newcastle, but could yet be offered a new deal.

Steve told crewealex.net: “Both Chuks and Brad did really well for us whilst they were on loan and if their careers take a different course, then of course we would be interested. They have to find out what those futures are first.

“All we can say is we would be interested because they are good players and enjoyed their time here but we can only wait and see what happens. We will stay in close contact with them and if anything happens then we would consider it.

“Of course, they may remain with their clubs or try and play higher in the Championship. You just don’t know. All we can do it is wait and see what materialises. It is just a waiting game at this time of the pre-season.”
