Northern Ireland International winger latest to be handed trial period.
Crewe Alexandra has invited Northern Ireland International Johnny Gorman on trial. The 21-year-old joined up with Crewe for last night’s friendly at Southport. The winger was given a run out in the second half of the club’s 2-1 victory as he and George Cooper replaced wide men Lee Molyneux and Billy Waters in a double substitution.
Gorman has represented Northern Ireland on 9 occasions but is currently a free agent after being released by Leyton Orient in the summer. The promising youngster from Sheffield enjoyed a youth career with the two Manchester clubs and Wolverhampton Wanderers before joining Leyton Orient in 2013.
Meanwhile trialists Cameron Lancaster and Ibra Sekajja have been released after failing to earn themselves a contract.
