The Alex snap up Finnish striker on long-term contract

Crewe Alexandra are delighted to announce the signing of Finnish striker Lauri Dalla Valle on a contract running until June 2016.

The 23-year-old striker enjoyed a short loan spell at Gresty Road in the 2012/13 campaign where he scored five goals in ten games before returning to parent club Fulham.

He was released by the Cottagers during that season and joined Norwegian heavyweights Molde but played only five months at the club before moving to Belgium in summer 2013.

Dalla Valle made 23 appearances for Sint Truidense last season but was not offered a new contract in the summer and has since been a free agent.

After training with Italian side Vincenza for the first part of the current campaign, Dalla Valle joined the Alex on trial in November and impressed the Management team sufficiently to earn a deal.

Lauri will wear the number 12 shirt at Crewe Alexandra.
