Crewe sign Cardiff defender Semi Ajayi on loan until January 5th.

Crewe Alexandra is delighted to announce the loan signing of Cardiff City defender Semi Ajayi.

The 22-year-old started his youth career at Charlton Athletic before joining Arsenal’s renowned Academy set-up. He progressed into the first-team squad on occasions, but never made a debut for the Gunners. 

After failing to make the ultimate breakthrough with the current FA Cup holders, he initially joined Cardiff City on loan in the summer of 2015 on a two-year contract. He is yet to make his professional debut for the Bluebirds but did enjoy a recent loan spell at AFC Wimbledon where he played five matches. Ajayi also enjoyed a brief loan spell with Dartford, scoring one goal in three appearances back in 2012.
