Collins: "Lowe's Work Rate Was Terrific"

James Collins says Ryan Lowe's experience will benefit us.

First team coach James Collins says that Ryan Lowe’s vast experience will help the other players on and off the pitch. Collins was pleased with Lowe’s contribution against Oldham Athletic on Saturday and he says that his presence and communication on the pitch certainly helped Marcus Haber and Ryan Colclough produce two solid performances in the club’s 1-0 win.

Lowe has signed on a month’s loan from Bury and announced his arrival with a last minute winner away at Colchester United. He played 70 minutes against the Latics at the weekend and his work ethic was infectious before he was replaced by Callum Saunders.

Collins told the club’s official web-site: “Ryan has great experience and he uses it to help the other players around him. That is one of his great assets. He talks to the others around him and guides them.

“He worked hard and his performance was good. I thought his work was terrific and for me it helped Marcus have one of his best games for us. He was winning his flick on’s and was strong for us up for there.

He added: “Marcus is certainly helped when he has someone working up with him and the partnership worked well.”
