Crewe Alexandra are delighted to announce that Arsenal’s Chuks Aneke has returned to the club and signed on loan until the end of the season. The former England Youth International briefly returned to his parent club after the conclusion of his third month with us, but has now returned to South Cheshire to re-sign for us.
Aneke, who can play in midfield or off the front, has certainly the eye during his first three months with us, scoring six goals in his 22 appearances thus far. He is currently our join second leading scorer with captain Luke Murphy behind Mathias Pogba (11).
In his final appearance for the club, Aneke came off the bench to create a crucial goal for Brad Inman and scored a goal himself as Crewe defeated Bradford City 4-1 in the Northern Section of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy. Aneke bounced back from the red card he received in only his second appearance for the club away at Stevenage back in September to establish himself as a potential match winner with his goals and assists.
