Steve Davis was delighted to extend the loan of Arsenal youngster Chuks Aneke for a third month earlier this week and he says that there is still more to come from the creative playmaker. Aneke has scored three goals and created numerous more since he arrived from the Premier League giants. The 19-year-old is beginning to win the Alex supporters over with his clever link-up play and eye for a shot.
Davis is delighted that the former England youth international has agreed to sign on until 17th December.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “Chuks was keen to stay his stay with us and we have extended it for another month. Arsenal are more than happy. I have spoken to Steve (Bould) there and he knows that this has been good for him. He is playing his part and improving all the time.
“Chuks can be brilliant and at times he can be frustrating, but he was real ability. He can score and make goals.
“He does a similar job that Nick (Powell) did in terms of linking the play up and being able to create something out of nothing. He has two great feet and can shoot.
Steve added: “We have been asking him to play quicker. He now realises the responsibility of playing his part in the team. He has become important part of our team. Chuks is working hard to get fitter and sharper. His style isn’t sometimes pleasing to the eye for everyone, but he creates things.”
